    Error Compensation for Machine Tools Based on Integrated Intelligent Computation

    This paper is a study of error compensation for machine tools based on integrated intelligent computation. The primary focus was on integrated intelligent computation approach to develop a BP neural network embed in a digital control system of a machine tool. Data compression and feature extraction was realized by way of application of RST and principal component analysis, which reduced BP network input dimension and reduced network training time. Taking advantages of ant colony algorithm, a global optimum of error compensation for machine tools was obtained by a BP network convergence. Positioning error compensation capabilities were tested using industrial standard equipment and procedures. The results obtained show that this approach can improve compensation precision and real time of error compensation for machine tools effectively.

    To investigate the influences of liquid resistance on the main valve performance, a hydraulic experimental system for pure water was built, and three sizes of throttle nozzles with diameter 1.2mm, 1mm and 0.8mm were separately serial connected to pilot valve to be tested, then the corresponding pressure-flow characteristics were tested. Using AMESim software, a simulation model was built based on the structure of pilot operated valve. Combining with the experimental data of pressure-flow characteristics, the simulation results of opening pressure, running pressure and poppet displacements were studied. The results indicate that the hydraulic resistance of throttle orifice affects mainly the openning pressure and has only a little influence on the flow characteristics of main valve. The pressure difference between high pressure chamber and low pressure chamber are too small to open the main valve when using 1.2mm throttle oriffice, the openning pressure using 1mm throttle orifice is 0.24MPa, 0.8mm is 0.2MPa. Considering that the small hole is easy to choke, then 1mm throttle orifice is the optimization scheme.

    The time-variable unbalance interference signals exist synchronous with rotor rotational speed in active magnetic bearings system, which will affect the control effects of the system. To filter the unbalance signals, one kind of relatively suitable filter algorithm was proposed through analyzing some kinds of least mean square (LMS) algorithms. According to the real-time variation of the amplitudes and frequency of the interference signals in AMB system, the original LMS algorithm proposed was improved, and the filter effects on time-variable signals about the original and the improved algorithms were compared. The simulation and experimental results show that the new improved LMS algorithm has better ability of following the anticipant signals and convergence to time-variable and small amplitude signals. It can provide convenience to real-time filter compensation for the AMB system. 

    In order to explore the clean machining rule of titanium alloy, cutting parameters for tests were schemed out by using the uniform design method. And cutting tests were conducted under the condition of dry cutting and cold blast machining respectively. Through the regression analysis about the test results, a multiple quadratic regression model was established. And an empirical formula of cutting force and surface roughness was derived through the optimal subset method and custom variable method towards the model,which was applicable for titanium alloy finishing machining. The variance analysis about the formula shows that it is of remarkable linear relationship. Comparing and analyzing the characteristic relation among the cutting force, surface roughness and the cutting parameters under the conditions of dry cutting and cold blast machining, and it shows the latter one is more applicable for efficient finishing machining of titanium alloy. A cardinal principle for the selection of cutting parameters for titanium alloy finishing machining was also put forward.

    According to the requests of experimental study, on the basis of analysis on design method of existing experimental table, a design proposal for experimental table was presented,which was used to simulate pressure field of working chamber. The table was applied to verify accuracy of pressure distribution obtained from numerical simulation, and to verify validity of pressure control means of working chamber of earth pressure balanced shield. The experimental results show that experimental table is feasible and it can be used for experimental study mentioned above. This work gives a basis for design and control of earth pressure balance shield.

    Focusing on load pressure defined by asymmetrical struction of cylinder,which was sufficiently considered, and hydraulic spring stiffness was not minimal on the initial position in general modeling method, a method was proposed,that effective supporting area was weighted and meaned, and the load pressure was redefined, so flow equation for slide valve was of linearization. The initial position and total volume of asymmetrical cylinder were analyzed by applying the theory of hydraulic spring stiffness when its natural frequency was minimum, a mathematical model for asymmetrical cylinder was established, and relevant design rules were developed, dynamic characteristics of the model were analyzed by simulation and experiments, and compared with general model. The results show, this model is more accurate than general model, and more near to real system. 

    The common methods and problems of micro-part precision machining were analyzed herein. Based on the micro-part precision machining of coating technology, a complex method was proposed. The basic idea, process and research significance and the key technologies were discussed. This method integrated the precision machining technology, measuring technology and surface coating technology.     An equivalent circuit model of the thermal cycle system based on thermoelectric cooler was proposed according to the analogy between thermal and electrical variables. The use of this model allows the static and dynamic performance of the system to be analyzed by using electrical circuit analysis programs such as Multisim10. It is an effective and simple method to design, analyze and optimize the thermal electric system by using this model.

    According to comparable study and application on new and old

    A comprehensive model for manufacturing cellular was put forward which aimed at abtaining the minmum of material handling cost and machine depreciable and repair cost as well as synchronously considering the cellular formaiton, machine layout and cellular layout according to the characteristics of the problem of manufacturing cellular. And an advanced genetic algorithm was brought forward to solve this model. The individual validity and the characteristic of genetic algorithm were ensured; the convergence of algorithm through the elite strategy was ensured and the local convergence was protected by adjusting the crossover operator and mutation operator constantly. At last, the validity of the model and algorithm was proved by a complicated example.

    According to the particularity of extended manufacturing which is a tight coupled networked manufacturing model, a selection method of extended manufacturing units oriented key parts was put forward. In the view of manufacturing process, the key parts PPR model was constructed; on the basis of the model, the flow of matching degree algorithm between the manufacturing requirements and the manufacturing capability was designed; the reconfiguration characteristics of process and manufacturing units were analyzed, and based on information entropy theory, the measurement of complexity degree of extended manufacturing reconfiguration was carried out. At last, an instance was provided to testify the validity of the selection method of manufacturing units.

    Order-oriented production was satisfied to maximizing the profit, and to the due date of customer order. In such a circumstances, scheduling orders had been an important decision in modern enterprises. A method of scheduling electronic products based on a modified PSO was proposed. A cost model of scheduling orders for electronic products with fuzzy capacity constraints was established. The total cost was constituted of two costs, they were production costs from the assembly and penalty cost arising from tardiness production. A new adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm with dynamically changing inertia weight (DCWPSO) was proposed to solve the problem. The DCWPSO changed inertia weight based on population diversity and evolution speed in order to balance the trade-off between exploration and exploitation. The application demonstrates the efficiency of the proposed model and DCWPSO algorithm, which is significantly superior to the linearly decreasing weight PSO (LDWPSO) in convergence speed and accuracy.

On the basis of the methodology and the system architecture, its key technologies were studied and implemented.     An envelope order spectrum based on multi-scale chirplet and sparse signal decomposition was proposed and applied to the fault diagnosis of gearboxes with rotating speed fluctuation. In the proposed method, the instantaneous frequency of gearbox meshing component was obtained by sparse signal decomposition based on multi-scale chirplet, and then the rotating speed signal can be got by software method without tachometer. After the vibration signals of a gearbox were analyzed by envelopment analysis, the even angle resampling on the envelope signals of the gearbox was carried out and the envelope order spectrum can be obtained, which can be used in the fault diagnosis of the gearbox. A simulation example and an example of its application have proved the effectiveness of the method.

    Elastodynamics model of multi-DOF system for planetary mechanism in the hybrid electric vehicle was founded by the method of lumped mass. The nonlinear dynamics equations of vibration system with the excitation of time-varying mesh stiffness, gear composite errors and clearances were solved by the method of the 5-steps self-adaptive Runge-Kutta. As a result, the dynamic response and behaviors of dynamic load between teeth of the system were acquired by combining with displacement or dynamic load, phase plane, FFT, Poincaré mapping. Then, impacts of exciting parameters on system dynamic responses were analyzed. The numerical results indicate that frequency, backlash or external load has huge influence on system dynamic response.

    According to the classification principle of linear and non-linear dimensional reduction,this paper dealt with mechanical noise data under different working-modes through PCA and KPCA. Lastly,the paper computed the right recognition percentage of noise data, including had been reduced and not, by NN method and SVM method, and compared the excellence for PCA and KPCA in dimensional reduction. Consequently, a better method of dimensional reduction is selected for ribbed cylindrical double-shells according to the results.

    In order to improve the output performance, two novel TRUSMs (traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor) with combined structures were designed and implemented. One was the TRUSM with two stators and single rotor, the other was the TRUSM with two stators and two rotors. Based on the structural characteristics, the mechanism that the stator/rotor contact state affected the output performance of these TRUSMs was qualitatively analyzed. In the comparative experiments,it was tested that the TRUSMs with combined structures had incomparable features to the single-stator-rotor TRUSMs. Experimental results indicate that the structural combination is an effective way to greatly improve the output performance, and the stator/rotor contact states are very important for the TRUSM performance. 

    For the system of macro micro-feed table,a micro-feed table in macro-micro dual system was designed by using of flexure hinge. The 2D stiffness matrix
     was derived from principle of minimum potential. And the stiffness matrix was applied to micro-feed table which contained flexure hinges. A simplified computation model of the micro-feed table was obtained. The results of simplified model were compared with finite element model and laboratory results. The effectiveness and practicality of the method were tested and verified.

    This paper proposed the relationship between the magnitude of load angle and the test ball diameter by geometric analytical method, based on the accelerated pure rolling contact fatigue test rig with three contact points for the life test of bearing ball. The results of application examples under the condition of different design diameters and offset distances of the loading mechanism pivot point show the load angle can be lowed down less than 0.106° when the design radius (test ball) is 6mm and the offset distance is 0, and the test ball diameters range from 9mm to 15mm. The larger the load angle magnitude is allowed to be, the wider the span of the test ball diameter can be. 

    On the basis of Lagrangian equation, the pure torsional vibration model of a vehicle powertrain containing multistage planetary gears was established and used to investigate the similarity of natural characteristics when system was in different conditions. By using the real modal theory, the sensitivities of natural frequency to moment of inertia and stiffness were calculated and analyzed when system under a normal condition. The distribution law of natural frequency and the influence of the physical parameter on the natural frequency were obtained. Because of the change of torsional stiffness of joining in multistage planetary gears transmissions, the phenomenon of frequencies loci veering exists. The influence of frequencies loci veering on natural characteristic was discussed simply. It provides theoretical guidance for the dynamic analysis of multistage planetary gears.

    Combining with the reliability analysis and the optimization technique, a reliability optimization design method was presented for improving the dynamic characteristics of automotive front axle. A reliability optimization model of dynamic characteristics of automotive front axle was established, the first order mode frequency and the velocity admittance of driving point of engine excitation were used as design constraints of reliability-based optimization, the total mass of front axle was used as the design objective. The reliability-based optimization problem of a micro-car front axle was solved, which shows that the dynamic characteristics of front axle are improved and the goals of reliability optimization design are achieved.

    To predict the dynamic characteristics of vehicle integrated transmission system, the work states of crucial parts were mathematically described. According to the work principles of hydro-mechanical transmission system, a virtual prototype model of integrated transmission system was constructed based on modular modeling method by synthesizing each component mathematic model. The transition process of start, acceleration and shifting was simulated numerically. The presented model was validated by start process test with the same power condition and operating manner. Contrast of the simulation and test results indicates the modeling method is feasible and the virtual prototype model is correct. 
